Q: What needs do our local colleges have?
A: Each of the colleges in RCCD play a vital role in educating our critical workforce and providing an affordable pathway to a 4- year university.
At Riverside City College, YES on CC will address urgent, basic and future repair needs such as removing asbestos, mold and lead paint; upgrading outdated electrical wiring and gas and sewer lines; fixing leaky roofs; and improving earthquake safety to make sure all students learn in classrooms that are clean and safe. These upgrades will help the nursing program at the college and expand programs to serve even more students who will help our community.
At Moreno Valley College, Yes on CC will ensure that Moreno Valley College gets its fair share of funding to provide career and academic counseling resource centers for veterans, upgrade learning technologies, and provide the program expansion needed for low-cost, high-quality education, job training close to home - key for training healthcare and the police officers, firefighters and paramedics who keep our community safe.
At Norco College, Yes on CC will ensure that the Corona/Norco community gets its fair share of funds to expand local options for training in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math and other in-demand careers, so that local students do not have to travel as far for affordable higher education and career training and upgrade the student basic needs center to assist students who may have a need for food or housing.
Q: Is Measure CC Accountable?
A: 100%! Measure CC includes strict fiscal safeguards including citizen oversight, annual financial and performance audits, public disclosure of all spending, and a legally binding project list to make sure all funds are used effectively, efficiently, and as promised.
